About the Author

Nazarea has been writing for longer than she can remember. When asked what got her started, she generally looks confused and then shrugs. She attended several high schools, where she alternately wrote and swam in the local synchronized swim club. A less than enthusiastic student, she enjoyed sitting in the back row and writing her stories instead of notes on ancient wars. After graduation, Nazarea briefly attended Bryan College where she met her husband and moved to his hometown. They now live with their two children and overly large dog in southern Georgia.

Three years into her marriage, Nazarea realized how much she hated her job—really, she claims it was the windowless office that sucked the soul out of the body. Two days before her third anniversary, she quit and began writing again.

Upon finishing the story that grew from a character development exercise, she joined a writer's group that taught her—among other things—how far she had to go. She wrote Faith’s Friendship for a contest—the inaugural Vicious Novel Writing Month. She says it was both difficult and ridiculously fun. Since winning, she has spent a whirlwind year editing and wondering how she got so lucky.

When she’s not writing or being a mom, Nazarea enjoys wandering through bookstores—reading way more books than are good for her, says her husband; lounging on the beach—which she claims she doesn’t do often enough; and cooking—which her family appreciates. She remains an active member of Key Publications Network and loves to hear from other writers and readers—and is always up for good book suggestions.

Faith’s Friendship is her first novel.
